Bread and Roses is proud to welcome back a former host, author Della Rae, as a guest for a special Fall Drive show.
Della Rae’s journey has led to advocating a specific element of self-care, one that focuses on how we think and feel about ourselves. Portland native Della Rae is an author and advocate of self-care. Through her efforts in the nonprofit sector she received numerous local and national accolades. They include the Portland Business Journal 40 under 40, the Safeco Foundation National Hero Award, Blue Cross Blue Shield Hero Award, Pyramid Award of Excellence in the Art of Social Innovation from the Nonprofit Association of Kentucky, Safeco Foundation National Hero Award, Delta Sigma Theta Woman of Excellence Community Service Award, Outstanding Innovative Project award from the Association of Fundraising professionals and the Symetra Community Champion award. She has also been profiled as a local hero in the national publication, Family Circle magazine.
