KBOO's in-house archives database is set-up to ensure consistent cataloging of audio metadata and helps maintain archiving and preservation workflows. Since it is a work tool, information is being constantly updated.
Attendees to our recent news and public affairs archive database trainings learned what they could locate, listen to, and research by using the database at the station. Researchers, visitors, and KBOO volunteers can visit the studio and use the database by appointment by emailing archive@kboo.org.
If you are interested in learning what the database holds, you can download the xlsx file below and view the records in a spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or LibreOffice. For current information requests (i.e. do you have anything on the WTO Seattle?) please email archive@kboo.org.

In the next three years, KBOO will develop an online, integrated searchable system of both analog and born-digital news and public affairs audio content. If you would like to get involved to help make this happen, please email archive@kboo.org.
The archive project is always looking for computer-savvy volunteers. If you are interested, please email selena@kboo.org with a statement of interest and your schedule availability.
