Carol Buckley is the founder and CEO of Elephant Aid International and is a leading international expert on captive elephant care

In this episode of Voices for the Animals, cohost Courtney Scott talks to renowned captive elephant expert, Carol Buckley. Carol takes us on her incredible journey from elephant trainer in a circus to her decision to cofound The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee -- a world famous sanctuary that rescues elephants from circuses and zoos,  Since leaving that sanctuary, Carol traveled to Asia where she is now busy training mahouts how to work with captive elephants using a non domination method. And she has just started a new elephant sanctuary in the US, in a rural area of Georgia. Carol's years of working with captive elephants has taught her that elephants are above all compassionate beings with an amazing capacity to forgive their abusers. Listen and prepare to be inspired and moved by this remarkable journey of love and hope.
