Ruban Lawrence interviews Leena Biswas in India.  She is part of a growing movement of women in India who are taking to two wheels in order to take their fair share of space.

from the Times of India:

"Leena Biswas, a doctor and also a resident of Delhi came for the bike rally donning a bindi and bangles. She said, "I have been riding a bike for more than ten years now. People ask me, Bindi lagake kaise bike chalati ho?' People have preconceived notions that if you are a woman rider, then you must wear leather jackets, boots and should be bisexual. We should break away from these stereotypes."
Krishna Singh, a beautician, shared, "I have been riding a scooter from the past 15 years but it was my husband who taught me to ride a bike. Mere parents ne mujhe itna allow nahi kiya yeh sab karne ke liye, jitna mere husband ne kiya hai. Mere gharwale humesha bolte thay, 'Doosre ghar jake kar lena jo karna ho' toh tab hi kiya.""
