Teachers on Strike Across the Nation

The Old Mole’s Bill Resnick talks with Joel Jordan, a long time high school teacher in Los Angeles who is also a writer, activist, organizer, and a leader in the radical caucus that managed to gain power in the Los Angeles Teachers Union. They discuss the recent rising of teachers in two waves, the first, the take-over of local teachers unions by progressive forces in quite a few big cities. The second, a recent wave of rank and file led and organized strikes in several red states, including West Virginia and Arizona.
