Host Diane Hunt has prepared this 90-minute program with an eye to the true meaning of this day, one in which we remember those who have died in battle. During these times when so many people are giving so generously of themselves in service to others, it is good to remember those who gave, well, everything. The Memorial Day special will also touch on stories of those who didn’t perish during wartime, but who returned home maimed in body or spirit. Diane tells us that she has no relatives nor friends who died while serving in the military…..and yet she sheds many tears as she puts this annual show together. The music is that powerful.
