Maria Brignola is a board certified dance movement therapist who for 20 years has been a pioneer, educator and leader in mind-body psychotherapy, body mindfulness, and dance/movement therapy in the Pacific Northwest. She is nationally known as a dynamic workshop facilitator, writer and educator, and for many years served as a contributing writer for the International Journal, The Arts in Psychotherapy. For more than 25 years, Maria was a faculty member at Marylhurst University, where she was known for teaching unique courses integrating body, mind and spirit. Currently, Maria is Program Director for a Senior Psychiatric Services Unit which she helped to open in 2016. Maria also conducts workshops and provides a host of dynamic, experiential, and engaging learning activities to promote personal and professional development.
