The House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on June 10, 2020 entitled Oversight Hearing on Policing Practices and Law Enforcement Accountability. We’ll hear from some of the witnesses, including: Vanita Gupta, President and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights; Paul Butler, Albert Brick Professor in Law at Georgetown University Law Center; and Professor Phillip Atiba Goff, PhD, the inaugural Franklin A. Thomas Professor in Policing Equity at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and co-founder and president of the Center for Policing Equity.

An attorney I used to know in Atlanta, GA, Bruce Harvey, had three rules for police: First, cops lie. Second, cops always lie. Third, cops always lie about drugs. It's time to add a fourth rule: Cops always lie about everything.
