Is standing in the street disorderly conduct? Was Ms Raiford singled out because of her activism?

On August 9, 2015 Portland Police arrested Ms Raiford when an event commemorating the one-year anniversary of the Police death of Michael Brown spilled out into the intersection of South East Division and 82nd Avenue.

Is standing in the street disorderly conduct? Was Ms Raiford singled out because of her activism? Because of her skin color? Did the police falsify their reports? Lie on the witness stand?

We explore these questions with: a legal perspective from the ACLU; a studio re-creation of the police testimony; and Ms Teressa Raiford on the stand in her own defense.
