AN EMPOYEE & Labor Organizer FOR ALMOST TEN YEARS,WAS FIRED ON FEBRUARY SEVENTH FOR ALLEGDED THEFT.
This weekend a rally was held outside the New Seasons seven corners store in response to last month’s firing of former employee Ryan Gaughan.
An empoyee for almost ten years, Gaughan was fired on February seventh for allegded theft.
He contends that his termination was in response to his active role as a labor organizer.
Gaughan and his supporters are attempting to reform the manner in which New Seasons takes disciplinary action against its workers, and have filed an unfair labor practice suite against the local grocery store.
New Seasons management did not return KBOO’s request for an interview this evening.
