Bread and Roses on 12/11/09

Celebrate Human Rights Day on Bread and Roses, Dec 11, 6-7pm! The Universal Declaraton of Human Rights was the showcase of a marvelous moment in history when, with much of the world in ruins, citizens and governments were able to come together to articulate a path for peace and justice.  Tonight we profile the work of Eleanor Roosevelt, honor victims of Guantanamo, then turn attention to our homefront and what we can do to help women and children live free from violence here in Portland.
