"Take four people who are not only influenced by, but have actually been involved in playing punk, blues, country, flamenco, swing, and synth and you've got a band with nearly endless possibilities. Don't is a rare combination of fresh, raw talent and veteran musicianship that promises those possibilities will be handled in a deft and exciting way. Don't practices most Tuesdays in an undisclosed location in Portland. They are Jenny Don't - vocals & guitar, Sam Henry - drums, Dan Lowinger - guitar, and David Minick - bass. That these four converged in Portland is both grand design and beneficent fortune. Jenny Don't came to Portland from Bellingham with her band Ladies of the Night and met Dan, also from Bellingham, who plays with Ashcan Orchid, Lana Rebel, and Chris Olsen. Dave, recently of Los Angeles, and Sam Henry, the only native, who were both members of Lost Acolytes, met in San Francisco's punk scene playing in bands like Napalm Beach, the Cosmetics, the Wipers and the Stingrays. Jenny's voice has hints of Soiuxsie and Chrissie Hind but it's all her own. The band is pure power moving through punk, blues, surf tones, and back again. It's still early days and the possibilities stretch out into the infinite future, but some of those possibilities are being beautifully realized right now."--T. Constantine
