Steven Rosenfeld has been a journalist for nearly 30 years. He has covered a variety of public-interest topics for media organizations including National Public Radio, the Christian Science Monitor, Air America Radio, Marketplace Radio and many Vermont newspapers. He's now completing his second reporting fellowship at AlterNet, where he covered democracy issues in the 2012 presidential election and most recently America's little-known history of gun controls and gun rights. He has received many journalism awards, including the Society of Professional Journalists’ Radio Investigative Reporting award. He is the author of four books: three on American politics and elections; and a forthcoming historical memoir about how Holland's most famous Jewish boxer before World War 2 used his boxing to keep his family alive inside a Nazi prison.
