Tune in to hear the stories of two incredible women leaders, Rhonda Case and Paula Lucas, advocating for the victims of domestic violence in the U.S and abroad.
Rhonda Case is the Portland Liaison for the Spiritual Alliance to Stop Intimate Violence (SAIV) and the Coordinator of the Portland SAIV Community Partnership. "The Center for Partnership Studies (CPS) through its initiative, the Spiritual Alliance to Stop Intimate Violence (SAIV) offers a platform for strategic collaboration to end intimate violence that will contribute to the necessary cultural shift from the Dominator to Partnership model for family and social orientations."
Paula Lucas is the Founder and the Director of Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center. Paula is also the author of Harvesting Stones, An American woman's international journey of survival, a memoir. "The Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center works with abused Americans and their children in foreign countries to provide domestic violence and child abuse advocacy, resources and tools so that they can navigate the complicated jurisdictional, legal and social international landscapes, to be able to live their lives free of abuse either in the foreign country or back in the United States."
We will speak about their personal experiences and what compelled them to advocate for victims of abuse everywhere.
This is a KBOO Membership Drive show so be ready to pledge and receive a book donated by our guests in return for your support of community radio.
