Join us for a discussion of May Day in a time of uprising. Lyn and ani discuss the traditional meanings of May Day, interwoven with the Day's political events, while remembering Melodie Silverwolf, co-founder and long-time co-host of Positively Revolting, who crossed over last Friday.
A holiday for pagans, a holiday for workers, another day of struggle for justice: May Day!
In Portland, a gathering has been called for 2 pm, Jobs with Justice will be gathering in the South Park Blocks at Salmon, in Shemanski Park. Gathering at 2, rally at 3, march at 4:30. Also, at 2 pm, in the South Park Blocks at PSU's Smith Center, Hands Up Don't Shoot Portland invites people to gather in solidarity against police violence, demanding justice and an end to murders by police.
