Paul Street speaks based on his years at the Chicago Urban League and resident of Chicago. He is the former Vice President for Research and Planning and Director of Research at The Chicago Urban League (from 2000 through 2005), where he published numerous grant-funded studies including The Vicious Circle: Race, Prison, Jobs and Community in Chicago, Illinois, and the Nation (October 2002) and Still Separate, Unequal: Race, Place, Policy and the State of Black Chicago (2005).
