We delve into Portland history with Tom Chamberlin's Pillars of Portland, and into environmental activism with filmmakers Taggart Siegel and Jon Betz

In this special membership-drive episode of The Film Show, Jenn Chavez previews the Portland EcoFilm Festival with director Dawn Smallman and documentarians Taggart Siegel and Jon Betz, who have produced The Real Dirt on Farmer John, Queen of the Sun, and the new film Seed: the Untold Story.

And S.W. Conser welcomes veteran film and TV director Tom Chamberlin, whose local comedic soap opera Pillars of Portland presaged Portlandia by three decades.  Tom spins stories about his early 80's adventures working with such young crew members as Gus Van Sant, Eric Edwards, and Jim Blashfield, and trekking to the Rajneeshee compound to film scenes in which both cast and crew members worked buck naked.
