This morning's program will focus on the rich traditions of British folk and dance music. We'll hear unaccompanied ballads from people like The Copper Family, Frankie Armstrong, Walter Pardon, and George Spicer; stylized folk from Brass Monkey, Robin and Barry Dransfield, Eliza Carthy, Maddy Prior and June Tabor; seminal songwriters like Linda Thompson, Ewan MacColl, Dave Webber, and Leon Rossellson; and finally dance music from the likes of Bob Davenport, The Old Swan Band, Bees on Horseback, and John Kirkpatrick. Rounding out the program we'll toss in a few wobblers like the Oldham Tinkers and some music hall favorites, stir enthusiastically, and there you have it!
