Dmae welcomes back Literary Lesbians to talk about their Readings of Rapturous Romance withe lesbian authors in the Northwest and beyond. We'll talk with Lori L. Lake and Sandra de Helen. And in the last part of the show, Shani Harris-Bagwell tells us aboutthe reading she's directing of  The Vagina Monologues with women of color as a benefit to Raphael House.

Literary Lesbians Present....Readings of Rapturous Romance and a Bountiful Book Faire

Sunday February 18, 2018 at 3pm- 5pm at TaborSpace (in the historic Mt Tabor Presbyterian Church), 5441 SE Belmont St in Portland in The Annex on the ground level. Doors Open at 2:30pm. Free.

A celebration of Lesbian Literature with author readings, book giveaways and chocolate. Free raffle ticket for many giveaways, drawings, and prizes as well as books on hand to purchase and have signed. 

Authors include: Emcee, Linda Vogt, the author of No Thru Road, Lori L. Lake, author of the Gun Shy series in addition to several stand alone romances: Eight Dates and Like Lovers Do and her epic novel Snow Moon Rising, Heather Jane, whose latest release is Potential; Louisa Kelley, Unbidden Dragon; Jane Cuthbertson reading from her soon-to-be-released romance Game Changer; Dolores Maggiore with her first in a 1950s YA series, Love & Death at the Old Summer Camp; Jove Belle, Rainbow Award Winner for Bitterroot Queen; G.L.Morrison and her book of poetry, Chiaroscuro Kisses and many other poems; and

Sandra De Helen, visiting from  southern California will read from her new soon-to-be published collection, Desire Returns for a Visit.

The Portland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated presents The Vagina Monologues. The event includes a silent auction, staged reading followed by a talk back. The ticket prices are all general admission, 90% of proceeds will go directly to Raphael House. The mission of Raphael House is to engage our entire community in non-violent living through advocacy, education, and community outreach, and by providing a safe haven from domestic violence.
