In this repeat edition of "First Voices Radio, listen to Waziyatawin, Wahpetunwan Dakota from the Pezihutazizi Otunwe (Yellow Medicine Village) in southwestern Minnesota. She is a scholar, historian, author and anti-colonial activist. She is interviewed by Derrick Jensen who has been called "the philosopher-poet of the environmental movement." Derrick is a longtime grassroots environmental activist and author of more than 25 books, including: "A Language Older Than Words," "Endgame," and "The Myth of Human Supremacy." This presentation took place at the 2011 Earth at Risk Conference in Berkeley, California. Derrick, who was a guest on First Voices Radio in June 2019, interviewed a number of people who each hold an impassioned critique of this culture and can offer ideas on what can be done to build a real resistance movement.
