Proposed ballot measure would fund out-of-school programs in Washington County

While many schools offer some sort of out-of-school programs, not all of them are high-quality and accessible.

One group, called Washington County Kids, is working on getting a property tax measure on the ballot next November to fund quality out-of-school programs for kids in Washington County.

KBOO’s Charles Shambry spoke with Friends of Washington County Kids president Susan Bender Phelps about the inspiration behind the initiative.
