The Portland Department Of Transportation has proposed a new and safer lane for downtown cyclists.

It’s called the buffered bike lane and it will be tested on southwest stark and oak.

This is in addition to another enhanced cycling lane referred to as the cycle track, which is about to be tested on Broadway by

Portland State University.

Jonathan Maus of BikePortland.org joins us to help explain the differences and benefits of these two new dedicated bike lanes.
