This Sunday, October 18th, at 5 pm, the Portland African American Leadership Forum Action Fund, in partnership with Black Voices United and Open Signal Labs, will host a Black centered mayoral debate between incumbent Mayor Ted Wheeler and Sarah Iannarone. Debate questions will be on topics including police brutality, racial justice, the COVID-19 pandemic, housing displacement, and climate justice.
KBOO’s Claire Rischiotto spoke with Renate Ray Mayer, the Digital Organizing Manager at the Portland African American Leadership Forum, about key issues for Black Portlanders and why this debate is so important.
