If you've seen My Octopus Teacher or read the book Remarkably Bright Creatures, you know that octopuses are incredible animals. Unfortunately, people find them tasty as well, which is why a company in Spain wants to farm them--basically the equivalent of an octopus factory farm, with all the inherent suffering and cruelty of the terrestrial version. On the next Voices For The Animals, host Michele Coppola talks with Ben Williamson, US Director of Compassion in World Farming, about why these "remarkably bright creatures" are so ill-suited for aquaculture and the efforts to prevent the development of this and any future octopus farms.
