School Closures in Portland

Portland Public Schools says it's closing down the Harriet Tubman Young Women's Leadership Academy, and will shutter Humboldt School, also in North Portland. The vote is expected April 23. Our guests are supporters of the YWLA, which has posted solid academic gains throughout its five years as a spinoff from Jefferson High School.
