Jerry Covers Project - Part 2

Jerry Garcia performed in well over 4000 live concerts during his decades as a musician, about half of the shows in The Grateful Dead, the rest in other projects. Jerry's solo career (view by year) spanned almost the entire existence of The Grateful Dead and his repetoire was truly massive.
Starting last month and extending through 2013, I will feature Jerry's solo cover material (but not all of it), in a similar fashion to a GD special I produced last year (parts 1, 2, 3). This means that you'll hear the originally recorded version of the song and then Jerry performing it with one of his side groups. I will emphasize the early and middle 1970s era, but won't stay there.
Many of the shows in this series will be themed and this month is part one of two funk/soul shows (examples in bold below).
