South Africa has a rich history of jazz, disrupted but ultimately unstiffled by the years of Apartheid, during which many of the country's top creative musicians were forced into exile, becoming cultural ambassadors to the rest of the world. On today's program we will hear selections from Abdullah Ibrahim, Chris McGregor, Johnny Dyani, Bheki Mseleku, and others.
