Residents of the Lents neighborhood will meet Wednesday evening to challenge the proposal of a Triple A baseball stadium and to offer alternatives.
Lents park is located near southeast 92nd Avenue and Holgate Boulevard.
With nearly $42 millon dollars in urban renewal funds on the line, residents and other local advocates are doing what they can to prevent construction of the stadium at the park.
KBOO reporter EmMarie Badio talks with Brian Krieg who is Chair of the Urban Forestry Commission as to why he believes the mayor should reconsider the location of the stadium.
