Ballot Measure 110 seeks to decriminalize drug usage and further fund treatment options. Proponents say that the criminalization of drugs does not lead those struggling with addiction disorders to the help that they need. Instead, they say, decriminalizing drug usage and low level possession and putting more money into treatment will result in better outcomes for Oregonians suffering from addiction disorders as well as fewer arrests.

KBOO's Anna Fox spoke with Devon Downeysmith, Campaign Communications Director and Haven Wheelock, MPH from the Yes Campaign about the impact Measure 110 would have, and how they answer their critics, who have said that the measure will not ultimately keep people from jail and addiction.
