Honky-tonk Heroines & Swingin' Sweethearts: International Women's Day Special!!

Please join me today for an all-women's Swing 'n' Country show in celebration of women's History Month! I'll play lots of favorites and tell a few stories about the artists, as well as offer up a rebroadcast of an interview I did two years ago with Louise Rowe, the only woman to actually be a card-carrying member of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys band. Louise played bass and sang for the band for a year in 1953 and she's got some great stories to tell about her experience. I'll include some other western swing ladies, along with lots of country women, some well-known, others not so much.
