Hydraulic Fracking Demonstration

Over a thousand activists met in Philadelphia this week for the Shale Gas Outrage rally, to protest hydraulic fracturing. The controversial process, more commonly known as fracking, involves pumping toxic chemicals, water and sand deep underground to extract natural gas.

KBOO’s Zeke Harrington spoke with Jim Walsh, the Eastern Region director for Food and Water Watch, one of the groups that organized the rally.
