Money talks

As money has steadily corroded the machinery of American government, it has also rendered the two major political parties philosophically incoherent, with little discernable ideology beyond servicing the needs of their donors. One side may rumble about the environment or gender equity, the other about guns or religion -- but never are the prerogatives of the ruling class challenged in any meaningful way. Not only has money hijacked our Constitutional framework, it's making us boring.
