Join hosts Jack, Jonathan, and Gordy for a special Pastures of Plenty program of nautically themed folk songs of merriment and mayhem that is our Annual Gales of November show. The show takes its name from the immortal 1976 Gordon Lightfoot song "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", which tells the tragic tale of the November 1975 sinking of the once largest freighter plying the Great Lakes during the most notorious Gales of November of the Twentieth Century. Every November we pay hommage to nautical songs about shipwrecks, lighthouses, mermaids, and the Great Lakes by artists like Gordon Lightfoot, Stan Rodgers, Bard of the Great Lakes Lee Murdock, Shanghaied on the Willamette, and other Great Lakes and Pacific Northwest artists. Despite the dire sounding theme we always have a blast and are sure to put a smile on your face. No KBOO volunteers or musicians will be harmed during the show.
