Hosted by Abe Proctor. Joe is on Vacation.
The history of the United States is a saga of immigration, whether you're a descendant of immigrants, a descendant of those displaced by immigrants, or an immigrant yourself. In a place such as this -- where being a American is more about an idea than where your ancestors came from -- the question of immigration still resonates.
Last week, President Obama welcomed hundreds of thousands of people who came here illegally when they were children. The howls of protest were predictable. It's an interesting decision, though, given that the president has deported undocumented immigrants at an astounding rate. With Joe on vacation, Abe looks at this thorny issue.
