Village Building Convergence 2011 Highlights

Village Building Convergence 2011

From 9 am to 2 pm, it’s KBOO’s special program on the 2011 Village Building Convergence.

9 am – KBOO’s Chris Andreae hosts a call-in show with Village Building Convergence organizers Hanna Poier, Eddie Hooker and Matt Bibeau.

At 10, it’s a Forum on Legalizing sustainability, with Melora Golden, Joshua Klyber, Sukita Crimmel, Mark Lakeman and others.

At 11, we’ll have a live interview with Hannah Apricot, a local filmmaker who is currently working on a film about the Village Building Convergence.

Then at 11:15, we’ll hear from Jennifer Steckler, who helped launch a Village Building Convergence in Vermont.

At 11:30, Marisha Auerbach speaks on creative solutions to the global food crisis.

Scott Howard from Earthenhand joins us live at 12:15 to talk about cob and earthen building techniques.

At 12:45, we’ll hear about the project for National De-fence – not the military kind, but the de-fencing of our communities.

And at 1:15, it’s a talk by Michael Becker on how Permaculture can Transform Public Education.
