International Women's Day (March 8th) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. International Women's Day honors the work of the suffragettes, feminists, and pioneers who have fought for gender equality.

The first International Women's Day event was run in 1911, based on suffragettes campaigning for women's right to vote.

KBOO is celebrating International Women's Day as part of our All Thrills No Frills Special Programming Campaign by bringing you a series of special programs throughout the Month created by, for, and about women!

For 2025's edition of International Women's Day, We'll be broadcasting Women-centered content for hours. Kicking off on Friday, March 7th!

You can support this marathon by shopping our special edition Women's Day Marathon merch! Show your support for our special programming, and help us celebrate diversity in radio! View our merch here
