Although more widely known for his role in bringing some of Portland's best selling-ever rock artists to fame, his curated late 1990's record label (T/K or Tim Kerr Records) and his friendship with Kurt Cobain of Nirvana (what is probably the last picture taken of Kurt alive was of him and Thor), the just departed Thor Lindsay was also pivotal in a earlier time in Portland's music history. He helped bands like The Wipers and Neo Boys sow those groundbreaking seeds that over time has resulted in the bountiful musical harvest that is Portland Oregon today. He also owned and operated Portland's first Punk-oriented record store Singles Going Steady.
From a couple of those noted musical trailblazers (on multiple levels) Portland's Neo Boys, Pat Baum (Thor's radio co-host on KBOO in the late 70's/early 80's) and Jennifer LoBianco (who's his former partner and the mother of their daughter) provide their rememberences and insight.
